Battle Honours Lunch

El Alamein (Outpost SNIPE) - Justin Maciejewski DSO, MBE 

On this, the 80th Anniversary of the Defence of Outpost Snipe by 2nd Battalion of the Rifle Brigade, for which Club Member Lt Col VB Turner was awarded the VC, Justin Maciejewski DSO, MBE, will speak on the importance of commemorating Battle Honours with particular reference to the action which took place on this day during the Battle of El Alamein.

Justin Maciejewski DSO, MBE was appointed the Director of the National Army Museum (NAM) in March 2018. He was commissioned into the Royal Green Jackets and commanded its 1st Bn. whilst it transitioned into becoming 2/Rifles during its operational tour in Basra in 2006/07. He retired from the Army with the rank of Brigadier, his last appointment being Director, Combat, and head of the Royal Armoured Corps. He worked for five years for McKinsey & Co. before being appointed to the NAM.
