During this Fireside Chat, guest speaker Mr Clive Harris will explore the remarkable life of Roger Keyes, one of Britain’s most dynamic naval leaders.

The talk traces Keyes’ journey from his childhood in India, through early naval service during the Boxer Rebellion, to his distinguished role in World War I and rise within the Admiralty. It also considers his career in politics, including his crucial role in the Norway Crisis and experiences through the Second World War.

Through stories of courage and leadership, the talk reveals how Roger Keyes fulfilled his youthful dream: “One day, I am going to be an Admiral.”
