The Nursing Memorial Appeal was created in 2011 to fully recognize the lives of at least 1500 nurses that gave their lives in the service of their country during the First and Second World War.

These include the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD), volunteers from many different backgrounds, who threw themselves into arduous and often fatal environment. their sacrifice has never been fully recognized, until now.

This Fireside Chat will tell the story in words and music of the VADs, from letters, diaries and military bulletins,
